We would love to be able to host every one of the gifted artists, duos, trios and bands that comes through Milwaukee looking for a place to play and a place to stay. Trouble is, we’ve had to be a tad more discriminating! Our space lends itself best to a single or duo, and even after 15+ years we can’t promise a turnout if you don’t already have a following in the area. Yes, we’re baffled too that people don’t just trust our taste, but what can you do? We both have demanding day jobs, so it’s really hard for us to put together a midweek gig. In fact, as we’ve both become involved in supporting other venues and passions, we’re down to 4-8 shows per year, often just our very favorite artists. On rare occasions we’ll introduce someone new who we’re crazy about, but they have to really knock our socks off. |
